Amidst the rippling sand dunes and thorny vegetations of vast Thar Desert, there is situated grandeur & splendor of Rajasthan, better known as Marwar. The desert landscapes (Marusthal) came into life when the “Rathores” of Kanauj moved in. But the city of Jodhpur was founded by a Rajput Chief of the Rathore Clan, Rao Jodha Ji in the year of 1459. The beautiful city of Jodhpur was on the silk route of the 16th century. Hence the city was host to a number of travelers.

Today, Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan and a very famous tourist destination in India. It attracts a large gathering of tourists from all over the world.   • Mehrangarh Fort - It is located atop a 125 m high hill in the outskirts of Jodhpur city. It offers wonderful views of Jodhpur city. The fort complex houses many beautiful palaces and temples. The fort museum houses an exquisite collection of palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes and furniture. Attractions inside the fort complex are Art Gallery, Museum, & Period Rooms.
  • Umaid Bhawan Palace - It is one of the most elegant and most recent palaces of India. Converted into a luxury heritage hotel, the palace is known for lavish art & luxury infrastructures with all modern amenities.
  • Jaswant Thada - The Jaswant Thada Memorial is a major landmark in the city. It is a white marble memorial built in the year of 1899 in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The monument is built entirely in marbles with exquisite carvings.
